The wait is over: our newly renovated restaurant is now open. Surrounded by majestic mountain peaks and crisp alpine air, we invite you to step inside, unwind, and simply enjoy the moment.
Our new interior blends traditional alpine warmth with contemporary design. Natural wood, stone, and warm tones create a welcoming atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home.

Hansjörg Betz puts his name behind what he stands for: outstanding quality, regional roots, and creative cuisine. We work closely with local producers who pour their passion into every product – from fresh mountain cheese to game sourced from nearby forests. Our dishes are inspired by alpine tradition and reimagined with a modern twist – authentic in character and rich in flavour.

Gamsalm
The Gamsalm - in the middle of the Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen ski area
The perfect place to recharge for a moment or simply unwind on the cozy sun terrace. The Gamsalm impresses with its spacious terrace, authentic alpine charm and its family-friendly atmosphere. Guests are treated to regional Tyrolean specialties, a touch of Italian cuisine and homemade cakes. To round it all off, there’s refreshing Bavarian beer and a fine selection of wines. Insider tip: The Gamsalm Kaiserschmarrn is already famous – but beware: it’s not served during peak times. A proper Kaiserschmarrn takes time, and we only serve it when we can prepare it slowly and perfectly, just the way it should be.
Situated right in the heart of the Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen ski area, this charming alpine hut and its warm, dedicated team are the ideal stop for skiers, hikers and families. From the terrace, the panoramic view stretches to the Zugspitze and across the valleys of Ehrwald, Lermoos and Biberwier. And we dare say: the view of the Sonnenspitze is nowhere more beautiful than from the Gamsalm terrace. When the weather outside turns rough, the inside becomes an inviting retreat: wood-paneled, snug and warm, with a traditional tiled stove and a large cast-iron oven creating that unmistakable alpine coziness.
