Action, adventure and nature experiences at the new Zugspitzpark

The Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena are now living up to their reputation as a family-friendly destination in summer as well. Thanks to its unique location at the foot of the Zugspitze, the new "Zugspitzpark" truly lives up to its name and is the perfect destination for active families, passionate bikers, as well as nature and mountain lovers.

The stress-free and toll-free journey to Ehrwald is the perfect start to a relaxing day in the mountains. Once there, visitors enjoy excellent infrastructure and cosy places to stop for refreshments. At the top, a wide range of activities awaits – from sporting adventures and family attractions to peaceful nature experiences. Just a few metres from the top station of the Wettersteinbahn, the new Bike Trails and the new Forest Slide Adventure Trail begin.

Bike Park Zugspitze

The new Bike Trails, completed last autumn, offer riding fun for all ages. Whether it's your first trail experience, a relaxed family ride or action-packed descents, the new trails expand the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena trail network with routes for different skill levels. The lines "Blue Bird", "Fifty/Fifty" and "Bare Knuckle" appeal to both beginners and ambitious riders.

Forest Slide Park Zugspitze

Another highlight at the Wetterstein is the new Forest Slide Adventure Trail: Six spectacular slides in different lengths and designs lead from the mountain station of the Wettersteinbahn through the forest down to the valley station, offering plenty of fun and excitement. Particularly impressive is the Steinadler Slide, measuring almost 36 metres in length with around 14 metres of elevation difference. Slide instead of hike – a completely new nature experience for the whole family.

Nature Experience Park Zugspitze

Under the motto "Live & Move", further summer mountain experiences are already in development. A Forest Bird and Geology Trail as well as a Flower Picking Meadow will combine exercise, knowledge and nature in a fun and engaging way.
