New from summer 2026 – Summer operations at the Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen
Action, adventure and nature experiences in the new Zugspitzpark
The Ehrwalder Wettersteinbahnen in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena are now living up to their reputation as a family-friendly destination in summer as well. Thanks to its unique location at the foot of the Zugspitze, the new “Zugspitzpark” more than earns its name and is the perfect destination for a day out for active families, enthusiastic bikers, and nature and mountain lovers alike.
The stress-free and toll-free journey to Ehrwald already guarantees a relaxed start to the day. On site, visitors enjoy excellent infrastructure with inviting places to stop for refreshments to suit every taste. Once on the mountain, a varied summer experience awaits: just a few steps from the top station of the Wettersteinbahn, you’ll find the new Family Bike Trails, the entrance to the Forest Slide Park, and additional themed hiking routes.
Bike Park Zugspitze
Completed in autumn, the brand-new Family Bike Trails offer fun for all ages. Whether you’re trying out your very first trail, enjoying a relaxed family ride, or looking for action-packed descents – these new routes expand the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena’s trail network and cover a wide range of difficulty levels.
Forest Slide Park Zugspitze
The Forest Slide Park – a highlight of the new Zugspitzpark – is also taking shape: the foundations are complete, and the installation of the slides has recently been carried out. Linked by varied hiking paths, a unique adventure trail is being created here, featuring several slides in different lengths and designs – an experience that will thrill children, teenagers, and adults alike.
Nature Experience Park Zugspitze
Under the motto “Living & Moving,” additional nature-focused experiences are taking shape. A forest bird trail, a geological discovery path, and a flower-picking meadow are currently in preparation – all designed to combine movement, learning, and nature in a playful and engaging way.
